About me

Hi there. My name is Matthew Diemer. Currently located in New York, I am a 6 years experienced software/web programmer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University. I enjoy programming and am glad I chose it as a career path because it keeps my mind actively engaged in problem solving on a daily basis. Besides programming, my main interests include the following: video games, television/movies, reading fiction, word puzzles, sushi, snowboarding and tennis.

I am a helpful and versatile person always willing to give a helping hand and adapt as a situation requires. If you have any questions about a topic I post, I will give more detailed information on it if possible.

About the site

The site’s current name, Digital Deems, was a result of friends referring to me as “Deems” for my nickname. After finding out deems.com was already claimed by someone, a little creativity had to be taken to make it unique. As a result I based it on my gaming user name, which consists of two words with the initials of “DD”. After slapping “Digital” in front of deems.com a domain name was born, the rest is history.

This site will focus on my experiences with technology, programming, and various forms of entertainment, e.g., television, movies, fiction novels and video games. Please refer to the categories and tags for a more detailed picture of what the site is about in the blog section.
